Incentives affect my life on a daily basis. If i didn't get a grade for my homework I wouldn't do my homework. If i wasn't going to get a diploma from school i probably wouldn't go to it. This is true for everyone. Without incentives people wouldn't do anything. For example, in communism failed in Russia in part because people wouldn't work as hard because there was no incentive for doing a better job at work.
Incentives directly affect everyone's lives directly. Money is an incentive. Nothing would happen if people did not get paid. Food is an incentive, it is why most people try to make money. The promise future comfort is an incentive. People work for the majority of their lives to try and save for retirement. There are thousands of incentives that we deal with every day of our lives and affect the decisions we make every day in our lives. Even babies have incentives. They will cry if they are hungry. They know that this will get someone to give them food. This means we essentially bribe babies with food to stop crying.
