Julia Carle, Chapter 3, Question #2
This chapter was mainly talking about externalities, and how they affect people that may not even know it affects them. Wheelan showed me that these externalities do affect me in some way, shape or form even though I may not know it. I learned or got a more detailed description as to what an externality is exactly, it's people, places, or things thing indirectly are affected by someone's choice, lifestyle, purchase, etc. As an example of an externality to everyone, Wheelan brought up global warming and smoking. Global warming because of people's choices we all suffer, same as smoking. If one person smokes around us, we suffer too. By Wheelan giving these examples, I realized that there are a countless number of externalities that affect me in my everyday life, externalities that I don't even know about.
